About the club

An independent fitness club at the entrance to Highland Park's business district, owned by a lifelong resident.

Gary Panichella

Gary was born and raised in Highland Park. He served with the Highland Park Police Department and is now retired from the force.

He has practiced martial arts for 50 years, and as the club's head instructor he teaches traditional Isshinryu karate to children, teens and adults twice a week in the dojo on the ground floor.

The Studio @ 808 is his club. Members train in a well-kept building, with a full range of equipment across three floors, at the entrance to the town's business district.

Part of Highland Park

Gary served this town as a police officer, and the club holds to the same standard: a clean, safe, respectful place where beginners, teens, seniors and experienced lifters can all train comfortably.
